CHANGE
In this new SPRING season of change, it is a great time to shift into new ways of BE-ing and Thinking. All change is the result of a shift in one’s perspective that is solidified by action.

“There is no change out there, if there is no change in here. “ Bryan Kest

To transition into a new life, to break habits or patterns, requires the following: (Life Purpose Institute)

1. We need a compelling vision and goal to motivate us. We need to be in touch with the benefits of the change in a way that’s personally meaningful.
 2.  We have to acknowledge the payoff – what we’re getting out of staying in our comfort zone and not making the change.
3. We have to acknowledge the loss – what we’ll lose by making the change.
4. We have to acknowledge what it’s costing us to not make the change.

“As long as you can start, you are all right. The juice will come.”  Ernest Hemingway

3 Types of change according to MTS- Management Training Specialists

Developmental
this occurs when you recognize a need to make improvements to an existing situation.

Transitional
this happens when you recognize the need to implement a completely new course of action.

Transformational
This isn’t necessarily something that you control as much as you recognize and survive. A new process or “norm” creates itself as a result of the failure of another and usually takes its own shape. You can, of course, refine it as it develops but it is not usually planned.

“To improve is to change. To be perfect is to change often.” Winston Churchill

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can change until it is faced.” James Baldwin

“Let him that would move the world, first move himself.” Socrates

“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at, change.”  Dr. Wayne Dyer
